Product Information

Be drawn to the jazzy azure blue flowers that inspire the catchy name of the ‘Brilliant Blue’ Agapanthus.

‘Brilliant Blue’ is an African Lily that erupts with firework-like blooms, leaving behind a trail of green foliage and looking impressive for months in summer.

A flurry of pretty blue-purple flowers form in a tidy clump on the top of upright stems, surrounded by green, strap-like leaves.

These beautiful flowers are perfect for introducing life into patio pots, or for sprinkling colour on the front of borders.

What's more, long stems make the blooms of this flower perfect for cutting and placing in a vase, bringing a delightful natural colour into your home.

A welcome boost for the eco-system of your garden, as the clumped foliage makes perfect ground cover – particularly when planted in large, dense groups.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting.

Top Tips

Deadhead flowers to encourage the emergence of new growth in the same flowering season.

Care Information

  • Plant in well-drained soil in a position of full sun.
  • Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser monthly from spring until flowering, then, from the end of September reduce watering and feeding to allow the foliage to harden.
  • Prune as needed to maintain size and shape.
  • In colder areas, cover the crown of the plant with a deep, dry mulch to protect the plants from hard frosts, or grow in a pot so they can overwinter in an unheated greenhouse.
  • Leaves may be lost in winter, yet new growth will appear in the spring.
  • Once established, the plant doesn’t require much water as it is drought tolerant.
