Product Information

The pretty pure white blooms you've been looking for – the gentle summertime show of ‘Bridal Bouquet’ has little competition.

Strong stems carry outstretching bursts of white blooms, like miniature versions of the floral displays carried by wives-to-be on their wedding day.

Agapanthus ‘Bridal Bouquet’ is an African Lily and a semi-evergreen perennial shrub that bursts to life through summer into autumn, with trumpet-shaped white flowers that open from cream buds.

The superb flowers emerge from green, low-lying foliage with strap-like leaves that stretch upwards in a tall and strong nature.

Lilies, such as this variety, are excellent candidates for filling out the borders of your garden, or for container growing. These impressive blooms and foliage grow in clumps with a compact nature to look neat and tidy throughout the flowering season.

Agapanthus are popular options for UK gardens, and this variety starts to flower even earlier than most others, offering months of beauty. What’s more, ‘Bridal Bouquet’ has a chance to repeat flower during a single season, providing you with a second flush of beauty.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting.

Top Tips

You will often get more flowers when the roots are restricted, so will do particularly well in pots.

Care Information

  • Plant in well-drained soil in a position of full sun.
  • Feed with a general-purpose fertiliser monthly from spring until flowering, then, from the end of September reduce watering and feeding to allow the foliage to harden.
  • Deadhead flowers to encourage new growth.
  • Prune as needed to maintain size and shape.
  • In colder areas, cover the crown of the plant with a deep, dry mulch to protect the plants from hard frosts, or grow in a pot so they can overwinter in an unheated greenhouse.
  • Leaves may be lost in winter, yet new growth will appear in the spring.
  • Once established, the plant doesn’t require much water as it is drought tolerant.
