Product Information

A real summertime performer – craft a display to make any neighbour envious using this ‘Magic Pillow’ Hydrangea.

Mounded foliage will be coated in blue or pink, domed or flattened flowers through three months of summer, from July to September. The shade of the flowers will vary, depending on the pH level of the soil.

The foliage is beautiful, first emerging with green serrated leaves and standing strong through spring and summer, before changing to a seasonal shade of orange and red in autumn.

As this deciduous shrub grows to just 50cm tall, it is a perfect option for filling a smaller border or container, producing outstanding groundcover.

Get maximum impact from minimum effort with this low-maintenance shrub that brings shape and colour to even shaded corners of the garden.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready for planting.

Top Tips

This Hydrangea will appreciate a fertile, moist position in a place where they are shaded from the sun for part of the day.

Care Information

  • Although fully hardy, this variety doesn't like cold winds, and frost may damage young growth in spring, so plant somewhere sheltered.
  • Mulching with organic material in spring will help keep the surrounding soil moist and your plant happy in summer.
  • Easily kept compact by pruning, this will also help produce larger, if fewer, flowers. Pruning is easy: simply cut back last year's side shoots to within 5cm of the older wood in early spring.
