What Is Supplied

Item 510258 supplied as:
1 x 2L Pot

Top Tips

  • For the best flowers, feed and water Forsythia plants regularly until fully established.
  • Must be pruned after flowering to allow the new branches to grow as it is these that will flower the following year on old wood

Care Information

  • In late spring after flowering has finished, prune back by cutting back all flowered shoots to a healthy pair of leaves.
  • Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
  • Container grown plants will need an annual dressing with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser combined with regular watering.
  • On established Forsythia plants, cut back up to a fifth of the oldest shoots to their base, to encourage robust new growth and to improve flowering.
