Care Information
- For best results, grow Senecio in fertile, free-draining soil in a warm position where it can receive full sun exposure.
- Be sure to firm the soil around the ground once planted.
- Once ‘Angel Wings’ has fully established, it becomes low maintenance, but will resent colder conditions, between -5C and 1C.
- Provide frost protection in all but the mildest wintering areas of the UK. For ease, plant in a cloche, or in pots that can easily be moved to a sheltered location when a threat of frost approaches, such as a greenhouse or conservatory.
- This plant, which is generally pest-free, does not require any pruning in order to thrive.
- Avoid wet winter soils, as this can encourage rotting.
