Product Information

A fantastic collection to enjoy spring blooms in an array of shades with two true British favourites in daffodils and tulips.

Daffodils blowing in the breeze are an early sign that spring is approaching, with distinctive flowers and a sweet scent, followed by tulips with a mid-late spring showing of a remarkable red shade. This collection is a must-have for any garden.

Narcissus Quail is known as one of the finest of all yellow daffodils, thanks to slightly rounded leaves and long stems, which are topped with up to four sweetly fragrant golden blooms.

Always a welcome sight, these daffodils bloom in April and May, and can be planted in pots, containers or straight in the ground in autumn for a fantastic display the following spring - plus they make wonderful cut flowers allowing you to enjoy them in your home too.

Tulip 'Triumph Red', meanwhile, is a cheerful perennial that produces single-bloom, classic cup-shaped flowers on sturdy stems. Resistant to wind and rain, this variety is easy to grow and boasts rich red blooms for weeks in April.

This collection also features a handy 20L bag of professional compost, as well as two plastic Prisma Planters in a faded, green finish.

These weather-resistant planters boast a bright, modern pattern, and will stand the test of time to be used year after year.

Supplied as 30 Narcissus Quail Bulbs, 25 Tulip Triumph Red Bulbs, one 20L Compost Bag and two 30cm Plastic Prisma Planters.

Top Tips

For a natural look, throw a handful onto a grassy area and then plant them where they fall.

Which way up? Pointy end up usually, but don't worry, they soon right themselves in the ground anyway.

Care Information

Planting Advice for your bulbs:

  • Plant bulbs at twice the depth of the height of the bulb and four times their width apart. e.g. 5cm tall bulbs need to be planted 10cm below the surface of the ground and 20cm apart.
  • Please check the bag for any additional planting instructions.
  • They are fine to plant even if a little green growth is showing, they'll just need a good watering when you plant them, and then only when the soil is dry.
  • Leave them in the ground once they die back and they'll come back bigger and better each year.
  • While all the energy that a bulb needs in order to grow is stored in the bulb itself, they will do better if you feed them when in active green growth.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • If planted in pots be sure to water frequently and keep moist.

Aftercare Advice:

  • Spring-flowering bulbs should be planted in the autumn for displays next season. This allows them to establish a good root system before the weather becomes too cold.
  • Plant in herbaceous borders, in pots, or leave in the ground to naturalise.
  • Water frequently and if in posts ensure that the compost doesn't dry out.
  • Use a good quality potting compost such as our premium professional compost for the best results.

Cutting your daffodils back:

  • Leave foliage to die back naturally after flowering, never tie up the foliage or cut is back while still green.
  • This allows as much energy as possible to go back into the bulbs for the following year. Only cut back the foliage once it has turned yellow or brown.
