The tradition of children knocking on stranger’s doors for sweets may look a little different this year. Halloween, as we know it will need to take on a very different concept as accepting sweeties door to door just, isn’t Covid19 guideline friendly. But here are some ideas on how to make Halloween 2020 fun!
Some local villages have taken on the challenge to still enjoy Halloween whilst respecting social distancing guidelines. Here are a few ideas that we think would be just wonderful to follow.
The front of your house can still sing Halloween and celebrate the changing of the season with carved pumpkins, ornate squash and autumn flowering plants. These displays are easy to create, fairly inexpensive and great fun to do with the children during half term. Just because we won’t have trick or treater’s this year doesn’t mean we can’t have fun!
Other ways to make Halloween 2020 fun is by planting some autumn flowers. Pansies and Primroses are perfect for adding some autumn and winter colour. Terracotta planters are ideal as they are porous. The plants won’t be sat in very wet soil if we have a few wet days as the terracotta releases the excess water.
