A succulent plant, Sanseverira produces long, spear-like leaves that are said to resemble snakeskin, making them a really attractive addition to the home. Their colour is deeper when out of direct sunlight which can make them fade.
A foolproof plant that thrives on neglect, Sanseveira can survive long periods of drought, irregular feeding, and actually perform better when pot-bound. They'll also grow in shade or bright light which is why they make an excellent houseplant.
Many gardeners have known for years that Sansevieria is a great plant for the bedroom, helping you to get a good, restful night's sleep, and now we know why.
A 20-year study by NASA has shown that one of their most useful features is their ability to keep the air inside your home clean, removing toxins such as formaldehyde and benzene, and giving out valuable oxygen at night.
Supplied as an established plant in a 12cm pot, Sanseveira cylindrica 'Waves' will grow to a height of about 1m.
Note Decorative pot in images is for display purposes only and is not supplied.
