Product Information

Peony 'Coral Sunset'

A sumptuous, colour-changing, semi-double flower that will bring an opulent show of magnificence to any garden. The large, showy flowers bud up a fabulous deep salmon-pink before breaking into full blooms of the most amazing salmon. Gradually transitioning to a subtle pastel coral-orange and finally a pale, creamy pastel orange, the opulent show of blousy blooms really must be seen to be believed!

Rose 'Queen Elizabeth'

One of the most popular roses of all time and for good reason - Queen Elizabeth is a lovely variety with large, pink, double blooms that flower continuously all summer long. Each of its astonishingly pretty flowers is accompanied by a delicate light scent that is sure to delight wherever you plant it. A fragrant, colourful specimen plant in beds and large pots plus it also carries the accolade of having been voted the World's Favourite Rose.

Sweet Pea 'Super Scent' seeds

Our finest mixture of premium-quality varieties brings colour and fragrance to your home and garden. Pick armfuls of bright, fragrant stems every day throughout summer. Sow in pots or directly in the soil until early May.  This unique selection of scent-laden types, made after testing more than a hundred varieties, rank among the most fragrant of all.

What Is Supplied

Item 200743 supplied as:
2 x bare roots & 100 x sweet pea seeds

Care Information

Peony

  • Dig a planting hole large enough to spread out roots without bending them. Set crown with buds 3-5cm (1-2in) below ground-level. Backfill and water in thoroughly.
  • Mulch lightly in spring and apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser around the base of the plant.
  • If you want really big flowers, de-bud the side shoots in April/May with a sharp knife. Remove spent flowers.

Rose

  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day
  • Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union is around 3cm below soil level.
  • Water well every other day at least. For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.

Sweet Pea Seeds

  • Sow in pots or directly in the soil until early May.
  • Once three or four pairs of leaves have developed, pinch off an inch or so of the growing tips,
  • As side shoots begin to grow, tie them into their support. Water regularly.
  • Feed once a fortnight with a high potash feed and pick blooms regularly - don't allow seed pods to form.
