Introduce this fast-growing maple tree to your garden for an outstandingly natural impact.
Boasting delightfully appealing and attractive foliage, this Acer variety is a stunning option for gardeners with slightly less space on their hands, due to its naturally small sizing.
Fresh leaves will appear on the ‘Negundo Flamingo’ in spring, with a subtle pink hue, before maturing to a traditional green colouring as they age, with a white or pale pink variegation.
For a uniquely exotic foliage effect, prune the tree hard in late summer.
Supplied in a 3L pot, with an eventual height of 12m.
If your soil is moist, fertile and well drained, in sun or partial shade, then you have the perfect conditions to grow this variety.
If planting in the garden, prepare a wide hole and loosen the soil with a fork, incorporating organic matter as needed to improve moisture retention and condition.
Plant your Acer so that the top of the root ball is just slightly below ground level.
Fill the planting hole with soil and heel well in. Water well.
Aftercare advice
Leaf colour is best in partial shade, although full sun can be tolerated as long as the plant is well watered.
Avoid exposed places as leaves can suffer with windburn (scorch), especially if the plant is dry.
Water regularly and deeply, and feed with our specialist Acer feed.
Pruning advice for your Acer
Acers generally do not need pruning, just remove any branches that are dead or damaged.
